Cognitive Dissonance & VR

When I started to work on this project in the Spring of 2020, I had an entirely different plan for this game. At that point in my educational career, I really had high aspirations as to what I could accomplish by myself. This game was originally going to be a story-driven narrative that focused on a small boy. However, through the semesters, I lost interest in that idea and began to experiment more with the puzzle aspects of Virtual Reality games. I liked how immersive VR could create puzzles and tricks, so I really built my game off of that. Drawing inspiration from "The Witness", I fell in love with the vague puzzle genre with very little assistance. This game is very different than I originally intended, but I still really like how it turned out.
